Description:
A written safeguarding policy helps an organization address its responsibilities to beneficiaries of service, clients, volunteers, and staff, and it articulates how the organization will keep all parties safe from abuse or harm. Crucially, a policy can educate and empower its stakeholders while creating consistent standards for behavior and accountability.
Join FADICA and Praesidium as we explore the essentials of a written safeguarding policy, with emphasis on a zero tolerance for abuse and seven key decision points for creating safe environments. Together, we will consider why written policy must not exist as a static document and instead serve as an evolving foundation for safeguarding best practices.
